Alabarcez Ukyo-e Collection
A.U-e.C
was created with the aim of preserving and raising the Ukyo-e period woodcuts to the status of unique graphic works. Therefore, rescuing and understanding their cultural, historical, social and artistic background is the major challenge we face every day. Being irreproducible and ephemeral in nature, these compositions drive us to fully devote ourselves to their curation, proper appreciation and display. They deserve to be safeguarded and protected so as to endure as unique witnesses to centuries of history and stories.
